Isak Hansen-Aaroen is all set to leave Man United in a permanent deal, heading to Werder Bremen.
It was always going to be a selling window for Manchester United Football Club. Money is tight, while with fewer games to play, Erik ten Hag had to try and keep everyone happy.
Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek among others, were let go on loan deals. However, today’s outbound transfer news is somewhat disappointing.
It comes from Fabrizio Romano, who confirms that Isak Hansen-Aaroen is all set to leave the club.
The Norwegian will undergo a medical today, with the United starlet set to leave the club on a permanent deal, with transfer documents currently being exchanged. The attacking midfielder will head to Werder Bremen. He is travelling to Germany today, before signing a contract until 2028.
The news came to light yesterday, as United refused to rule out letting Hansen-Aaroen leave permanently. I never thought they’d actually wave goodbye to the teenager, particularly for good, but I guess he doesn’t feature into Ten Hag’s plans.
At this stage, it’s unclear whether United have any sort of buyback clauses available to them, but you’d like to think so as this young man has the potential to become one of the best players in the world in his position.
It’s also unclear what sort of fee United will receive to let Hansen-Aaroen leave. His current deal expires this summer so I can’t imagine it’ll be more than a few million. That’s a disappointing fee to receive for someone so talented, but that’s just the nature of the situation.
