Manchester United’s last-ditch move for Bruno Fernandes will undoubtedly prove to be good business over the next few months, with the Portuguese set to aid the Red Devils’ push for Champions League football.
However, there’s still much work ahead for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. More signings are definitely required for the Old Trafford outfit – in numerous areas of the field.
This team still needs another quality attacking option, and the debate has often been Jack Grealish or James Maddison. Well, apparently the former is ready to make a move to the Theatre of Dreams happen…
The story comes from Goal, who claim that the 24-year-old star is ‘ready’ to join Man United. They also state that it’s widely expected that Grealish will leave his boyhood club Aston Villa this summer…
What’s somewhat weird is that formal transfer talks between United and Villa are yet to take place, though it’s great to hear that the Englishman is ready to make the switch to join the 20-time Premier League winners.
Goal even goes on to state that Grealish has already begun househunting in anticipation of a move, that’ll no doubt net him considerably more than the £100,000-a-week he currently takes home at Aston Villa.
Until recently, I was always aboard the Maddison hype train. However, what we’ve seen from Grealish over the last few months has been nothing short of sensational. He wouldn’t come cheap, but Grealish is a player who has that swagger, that cockiness that’s required to make it at the highest level. We’d be lucky to have him, though I’m sure there are many other teams interested in taking the Villa superstar.
