Jadon Sancho ‘close’ to agreeing personal terms with PSG, ‘extremely excited’ by project

Jadon Sancho is said to be close to agreeing personal terms with PSG this summer.

It has been an odd twelve months for Jadon Sancho. From a very public fallout with Erik ten Hag, to a semi-successful loan spell at Borussia Dortmund. Now, he and the United manager have worked out their differences, with the Englishman back in first-team training at Old Trafford.

The question then turns to whether United would look to sell Sancho this summer. After all, he hasn’t really performed to the required level and that’s the most important thing.

Journalist Santi Aouna has provided an update on Sancho’s future, with the Englishman attracting interest from PSG.

According to the information, Sancho is close to agreeing personal terms with the Ligue 1 champions, with the United player said to be ‘extremely excited’ by the project presented to him by PSG.

It remains to be seen whether United would be willing to part ways with Sancho this summer.

Interestingly, it’s the player who wants out, rather than United trying to push out Sancho. The promise of guaranteed trophies in the French capital is certainly appealing for the player, while high wages will also likely be on the table.

The verdict

I genuinely believe this clean break would be best for all involved. Sancho has struggled here in Manchester, while he’s still getting a move to a massive club.

For United, it’d be another high wage player off the books, while the Reds would also be expecting a semi-decent transfer fee back for the Englishman.

Sancho would be given a fresh start over in Paris, with a chance to prove his worth and win trophies galore.
