Jadon Sancho is nudging ever closer to returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan.
This transfer window is more about moving players on, rather than strengthening this Manchester United playing squad.
With a decrease in games due to a Champions League exit, the Red Devils could look to free up some valuable wage space by letting some over expensive fringe players depart. Donny van de Beek falls into that bracket. He has gone. Jadon Sancho is highly likely to be next.
The BBC’s reliable Simon Stone has provided an update on that front. He believes that the United player’s move away is now ‘close to being completed’, while adding that he could travel to Germany ‘today or tomorrow’ to finalise the transfer.
Sancho has been completely exiled from the first-team fold for about four months now, with the Englishman looking to move on in order to get his career back on track.

It does look like United will have to settle for a loan, meaning the club will probably be forced into paying a high portion of Sancho’s wages while he’s over in Dortmund.
However, if the Englishman performs well, there’s a good chance that Dortmund could look to make that move permanent. It would mean a drastic reduction in wages for the winger. Whether that’s something he’s willing to accept remains to be seen…
Whatever happens, Sancho should not play for United again. He’s shown his true colours this season. Being willing to collect your weekly wage while not being involved at all is a poor attitude to have and he shouldn’t be welcomed back to this club with open arms over the summer.
Hopefully, it all works out well for him in Germany.
