Jadon Sancho confident of securing Man Utd transfer: report

Jadon Sancho is confident that he will secure a transfer to Manchester United.

Although Jadon Sancho didn’t even make the substitutes bench for England on Sunday, Manchester United seemingly haven’t been put off making their move.

The latest update in the saga comes from the Manchester Evening News, who make a bold claim. They state that Sancho is ‘confident’ of securing a transfer to Old Trafford.

Apparently, the player has ‘agreed terms in principle’ with the Reds, while the Sancho camp expect the winger to join United – even though their initial offer was rejected by Borussia Dortmund last week.

United saw their £67million bid turned down by the Bundesliga giants, as they hold out for a fee closer to £77million when all is said and done.

As we all know, United have been in for Sancho over the last few years, coming pretty close to getting a deal done last summer.

This time around, you do get the impression that a transfer could well happen. Sancho has just two years left on his deal and if he doesn’t sign a new contract, his transfer value is only going to go down.

It goes without saying, this would be a move that improves United massively. Sancho is a genuinely world-class right-winger who would add an awful lot of quality to this squad.

His time with Manchester City means he’s probably able to settle in quicker than most signings made from overseas, while Sancho is also pretty close to several of the English players already at Old Trafford – namely Marcus Rashford.

Still, I wouldn’t expect to hear anything concrete until England’s EURO 2020 campaign is over, but the news sounds positive.
