Jadon Sancho is prepared to put in the work, as he looks to regain focus and rediscover some form

Manchester United Football Club’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho was a lengthy one. The Red Devils spent years trying to prise the Englishman away from Borussia Dortmund.

Thus far, it’s fair to say Sancho has underwhelmed – largely through no fault of his own, I’ll add…

Sancho was often played out of position, while dipping in and out of the team. It made it nigh-on impossible to find any consistency.

This season was supposed to be the making of Sancho. He started the campaign well, though after losing his place to Antony, it has been a tough slog for the winger.

Well, it’s good to see the Englishman ready to commit to the cause.

According to Laurie Whitwell, the United star is ‘working with’ Dutch coaches as he looks to keep fit and refocus during the World Cup and following his poor form.

Check out Laurie Whitwell’s tweet on the Sancho story here:

Erik ten Hag has made it pretty clear that you’ll have to be prepared to run through a brick wall for this manager. Sancho’s attitude here is excellent and no doubt the gaffer is taking note.

I like the fact that Ten Hag has given Sancho some coaches to work with, presumably those are in line with the way the Dutchman likes to manage.

This is the best response. Sancho’s talent is undeniable, though you’d have to assume that unless the winger comes good soon, his head could be on the chopping block next summer.

Hopefully, Sancho gets his head down, works hard and wins his place back.
