Jadon Sancho is still edging towards a transfer away from Man United in the mid-season window.

Manchester United’s off-field issues are certainly wreaking havoc with the dressing room at Old Trafford right now. From the current ownership problems, to individual player situations, Erik ten Hag’s job is being made tougher by the week.

No doubt the gaffer is dying for the January transfer window to roll around, in order to continue to remove some of the bad eggs from that dressing room.

Among the players he’s likely desperate to rid of is Jadon Sancho. The Englishman hasn’t been seen in the squad for the last three months after a public fallout with our Dutch boss.

Now, Florian Plettenberg has provided the latest on Sancho’s future. It’s stated that the United man is ‘still leaning’ towards a January transfer away from Old Trafford. However, he also wants to ‘wait and see’ what happens inside the club, in regard to the owner and presumably manager.

As things stand there is no fixed price tag placed on Sancho’s head, though a loan option with the possibility of buying the Englishman outright is the most realistic scenario. It’s also stated that reported interest from European giant Juventus is ‘concrete’.

Honestly, at this point, Sancho is just becoming even more frustrating. The cheek for him to hang on in the hope that Ten Hag could lose his job just angers me. Who does he think he is?

At the end of the day, regardless of whether a new manager comes in (which I believe is unlikely), why would he want a player with Sancho’s horrendous attitude on the books?

The sooner this bad egg is removed from the dressing room, the better. Sadly, his massive wages make it nigh-on impossible on sell on a permanent deal until his current contract winds down – unless the club are willing to heavily subsidise those wages for the next few years.

This is just another horrendous decision made by the powers that be at United. It baffles my brain that Sancho has been allowed to collect multiple millions in terms of a weekly wage, while not even training with the senior side.
