Jadon Sancho wants to move back to Borussia Dortmund in Germany, amid his fallout with Man United boss Erik ten Hag.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know all about the Jadon Sancho fallout at Manchester United. The Englishman didn’t take too kindly to Erik ten Hag criticising his training performances, with a social media post released claiming that he was being made a scapegoat.
It never felt like a good idea from Sancho, who has hardly set the world alight since making the move to Old Trafford.
We haven’t seen Sancho in the team since, with the ex-Borussia Dortmund man exiled completely from the first-team squad. That was to be expected given the fact that Sancho is probably more than capable of spreading his negativity to other players within the dressing room.
Now, 90min.com have provided a somewhat inevitable update on Sancho. Their report states that the 23-year-old United star ‘wants to rejoin’ his former team, Borussia Dortmund, amid his Reds struggles.
The article states that a ‘number’ of clubs in Germany are monitoring Sancho’s situation, though Dortmund are ‘the only club’ the player wants to join right now. The question is, would they want him back?
Well, apparently they’re keen enough to show some sort of interest in Sancho, with hope that a deal could be agreed before the winter window if Sancho’s situation at United does not change.
At this point, it does feel like the only viable option. Sadly, United will not get anything close to the £80m they paid to bring in the Englishman. You’d imagine the club may end up paying some of his wages, at least in the interim, if it ends up being a loan transfer first.
Do you think Man United will get any sort of decent transfer fee for Jadon Sancho? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
