Jadon Sancho will ‘certainly’ start against Wolves: report

Jadon Sancho looks to be set for his first Man United start this weekend against Wolves.

Manchester United made two major signings this summer. The latter was a move for Raphael Varane, who is yet to make his Red Devils bow. The first, Jadon Sancho, a player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had his eye on for a fair while.

Sancho has been limited to a couple of substitute appearances for his new club to date, though with each passing game, you feel that the chance of the Englishman starting is only increasing.

Well, according to Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst, in a fan Q&A session, the 21-year-old will ‘certainly’ start for United this weekend – making his full debut in the process.

Sancho has looked crisp on the ball on his two starts – and he definitely looks like he has all the bag of tricks in his arsenal. Personally, this feels like the opportune moment, though games against Wolverhampton Wanderers are never easy.

Check out the info from Samuel Luckhurst here:

The need for Sancho is there for all to see. Don’t get me wrong, I like Daniel James as an alternative option, but the gap in quality is pretty big.

Sancho has that extra bit of on-ball intelligence that could be needed in this tight-knit, hard-fought games. That’s not to say James isn’t a useful asset to have, he obviously is.

It just feels like a Sancho sort of game. Wolves are going to sit back, soak up pressure and look to hit us on the counter. We’re going to need that creativity in passing, that ability to create something out of nothing. I feel like Sancho has that in abundance.

After a couple of weeks of training now under Sancho’s belt, he’s got to be feeling good fitness-wise. I hope he starts. I’m confident he’ll impress us all, too.
