James Garner has put pen to paper on a new Man United contract.
Manchester United have today announced fresh terms for James Garner, who has signed a contract until 2024. The Englishman will also head out on loan, back to Nottingham Forest for the 2021/22 season.
The 20-year-old had previously rejected a deal that had been offered to him, but an agreement has now been reached, securing the youngster’s future for the foreseeable – which is massive news for all involved.
We’ve said it before, we’ll no doubt say it again. Garner is someone who feels ready to play for United, though with our midfield looking pretty jam-packed, I guess a loan move away always felt like the most likely option.
Anyway, the United starlet looked delighted as he signed his new contract, as Garner prepares for his loan move over to Nottingham.

Now, it’s about Garner proving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wrong. This is someone who is good enough to make his mark in the first-team, but he has to go to Nottingham and show that.
He looked excellent for Forest in the second half of last season and if Garner can continue that form, he’ll no doubt become an important player for them pretty quickly.
Solskjaer will no doubt be a keen onlooker as he looks to gauge what to do with Garner ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. I personally think Garner will give his manager no choice but to utilise him more – starting next pre-season where hopefully, we’ll have some sort of overseas tour planned.
Congratulations on your new deal, Jimmy!
