James Rodriguez ready to move to Manchester United this summer under one condition: report

Manchester United Football Club have just one meaningful game left to play this campaign, with Jose Mourinho’s men desperate to beat Ajax in the Europa League. Winning that game will give the winner a place in the Champions League for next season – and that could have just become even more important.

The transfer window is just around the corner, and according to Don Balon in Spain, James Rodriguez is willing to move to Manchester United, but only if they can offer him Champions League football.

Obviously, this is a player who’d improve the Old Trafford club quite a fair bit. We’ve been lacking that cutting edge and penetration in the final third, and the Columbian international is great at scoring goals, whilst creating chances for his teammates.

Now 25, Rodriguez’s best years are still ahead of him, and he would become a regular starter at the Theatre of Dreams, and that is the reason why he wants to leave Real Madrid; he just isn’t playing enough football.

Obtaining Champions League football was always going to be the most important factor this season, but this just emphasises that point as it can be the difference between signing a world class player, or him moving elsewhere.

If it wasn’t already, so much rides on the Europa League final in Stockholm against Ajax.
