Manchester United look set to part ways with Mexican hitman Javier Hernandez, after the 26-year old has found himself out of the team for the past twelve months. Although Chicharito has met up with the squad on pre-season tour, it looks as though the curtains are coming to a close on his Old Trafford career.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has spoken out about a potential transfer, and admitted that Hernandez is a player he likes. He goes on to say that Chicharito is great in one-on-one situations, and he’d be an assest to any team.
“We speak to the sporting directors, we gave them the ideas on the type of players we want and then they get the players,” Simeone said.
“With Javier Hernandez and plenty of other great players, anything is possible. We can’t close the door to anyone until the transfer window closes.”
“He is a vertical player, great in one on one situations, he’s a great option for any team.”
Hernandez cost Manchester United a mere £6million a few years ago, and you’d imagine that the club will certainly make a profit on the poacher.
