Javier Hernandez set to leave Manchester United

Javier Hernandez is one of several players that are set to leave Manchester United in the summer, according to The Metro. Hernandez, 25, has found his opportunities limited under David Moyes, and the goal poacher from Mexico has made just eleven first-team starts in all competitions this year.

Hernandez has slipped down the striking pecking order at United rather rapidly. When he first signed for us he was in the team alongside Rooney or Berbatov pretty much every week, and he scored so many vital goals in the 2010-11 season which gave us our 19th title. Now though, he has Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck all in front of him, so it probably is in the best interests of all parties to sell him while he still has value.

To me it looks like Javier Hernandez already knows he is leaving Old Trafford. The Little Pea is one of the most passionate footballers at the club, and the last couple of goals he has scored have brought no passion out of him whatsoever. He is playing like he knows his time is up, sadly.

Atletico Madrid are the early frontrunners for Chicharito’s signature, as it looks like they’ll need a replacement for either Diego Costa who could be sold, or David Villa who still hasn’t penned a new deal in the Spanish capital.
