Manchester United starlet Jesse Lingard has left Manchester United for Birmingham City on a one-month loan deal. The 20-year old probably would’ve been hoping for a first-team chance at United, but that hasn’t happened due to the strength in depth at the club, with no fewer than five or six players capable of playing in his favoured position out on the left.
Although the deal is initially for one month, Birmingham will have the option to extend that loan if they see fit, which would probably be in Jesse’s best interests. The Championship side are perfect for Lingard, as they are the team that got Ravel Morrison back on track after his antics at United which shows that the club is run in the correct way.
The West Midlands side find themselves drifting towards the bottom of the Championship table at present, so hopefully Jesse can go in and make an instant impact.
Jesse Lingard finished Manchester United’s pre-season tour as top scorer, finding the net an impressive four times.
