Jesse Lingard scored his first Manchester United goal just before Christmas, with a superb strike at home to West Brom. After netting, he ran over to the Stretford End and did a celebration known as ‘dabbing’, and he has spoken out about the reasoning behind it.
“The “dab” celebration is just trending at the moment.” Lingard said. “A lot of people are doing it. I’ve seen Pogba do it and knew I had to do it.”
“At the time, I didn’t think about it but as soon as I scored I thought I might as well do it – it’s just a dance.”
Jesse Lingard has certainly made a positive impression at Manchester United over the last few months, and its always great to see homegrown players succeed.
Hopefully he can keep that form going into the back-end of the campaign, and somehow help Manchester United finish in the top four of the Premier League, and secure Champions League football.
