Manchester United and Chelsea’s John Terry have had a long-standing rivalry ever since that brilliant night in Moscow back in 2008, to the issue with Rio Ferdinand a few years later. However today, the former Chelsea hero has included one Red in his PFA Team of the Year.
The central defender was one of the best in the Premier League during his peak seasons, and its great to see him include Chris Smalling in the Team of the Season.
This is great credit to Chris Smalling who has been outstanding over the last eighteen months, and to earn this recognition from someone as good as John Terry must be a fantastic confidence booster for the 26-year old.
Smalling has been included in the squad along with a whole host of Leicester players, Harry Kane and Dimitri Payet, and hopefully the United centre-back is in with a genuine shout of making the final team at the end of the season.
