Manchester United are all set to take on Feyenoord in the Europa League tomorrow evening, with Jose Mourinho looking to kick-off our continental campaign with a solid victory. One man who would’ve seen that game as a potential for some minutes was Phil Jones.
Sadly, that won’t be happening, as Jose Mourinho has told journalists that the Englishman has picked up a knee injury that’ll keep him out of action for the next month.
The 24-year-old hasn’t had a good twelve months at all. He has spent most of it on the treatment table, and when he has been fit, Jones just hasn’t been able to make any kind of impression on the coaching staff at the Theatre of Dreams.
He came into the club with a real high promise and although the England international made a bright start, it has gone downhill quickly, and you feel his days at Old Trafford are numbered.
