Three points for Manchester United this weekend is an absolute must – and there is nothing else that’ll satisfy the Old Trafford faithful. Jose Mourinho’s men host Watford at the Theatre of Dreams, as they’ll be looking to extract revenge for the lost to Mazzarri’s men before the turn of the year.
The manager met the media this afternoon to discuss all things pre-Watford, and amongst the topic of conversation was the Manchester United injury situation. The club took to their social media feed to confirm that there is mixed news, as Wayne Rooney will be fit to play, whereas Phil Jones will sadly miss out.

Thankfully, it looks as though our club captain has overcome his minor bout of illness and he’ll be available for selection – be it from the start or off of the substitutes bench.
Losing Phil Jones is a bitter pill to swallow, particularly when you factor in how well he has been playing alongside Marcos Rojo recently. It probably means that Eric Bailly will play alongside the aforementioned Argentinian, with one of Daley Blind or Matteo Darmian slotting in at left-back.
