Jose Mourinho eager to make Englishman his first Man Utd signing

Manchester United could well have a new manager at the helm come the start of next season, with Louis van Gaal’s future up in the air. Whoever is the man in charge will have a lot of money to spend, and Jose Mourinho, who is hot favourite for the job, is already planning where to spend it.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Jose Mourinho has been told he will be made Manchester United manager, and furthermore, he will make Everton’s John Stones one of his first signings.

Stones, 21, was heavily targeted by Mourinho whilst he was Chelsea boss last season, but eventually he came up short due to the Toffees’ extremely high valuation of over £40million for the young man.

However the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is ready to make another offer for the talented central defender, but they will face stiff competition from their fiercest of rivals; Manchester City.

If any club is tailor-made for John Stones it is Manchester United. They are a club that always give youth a chance, and alongside Chris Smalling, we could have a potential club and country centre-back pairing for years.
