Jose Mourinho has his heart set on a ‘sensational’ return to Man United as manager.
There can be no doubt that Erik ten Hag is coming under increasing pressure at Manchester United Football Club.
The Dutch boss has made some questionable signings at this point. While the results (and tactical decisions) have also left many of us scratching our heads at times.
I still think he is the man to lead this team forward. Ten Hag needs time to fully implement his ideas, while forming a squad that fully buys into his methods.
However, the vultures will start circling if the poor results continue. Now, according to the Daily Mail, a certain ‘Special One’ would be ready to make a move back to the Theatre of Dreams.
Yes, that’s right, Jose Mourinho wants another crack at the whip. Apparently, the 61-year-old is keen on making a ‘sensational’ return to United, although the Daily Mail admit it would be unlikely.
Mourinho was let go by Roma earlier this month, with the Portugal manager believing he has ‘unfinished business’ in Manchester.
The ex-Chelsea boss is keen to work within the new regime at United, wanting to pair up with INEOS after they took charge of footballing operations at Old Trafford.
You have to admire Mourinho’s desire and belief that he’d be able to help out at United. However, I just don’t see it. Things ended so badly with him at the helm last time, with many of those players still in the dressing room…
I just think his philosophy is a little outdated and we all know that after a couple of seasons, it wears thin on the whole club and he leaves it in an absolute mess. That’s probably not where United want to be right now.
