Manchester United made some absolutely fantastic signings over the summer, when Jose Mourinho sanctioned big money to bring in Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Obviously, this was just the beginning for our boss – and he has more big plans.
With the summer window rapidly approaching, reports from Football London claim that Manchester United and Jose Mourinho are eyeing a shock move to sign Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.
They say that the influential German playmaker has been locked in contract negotiations with The Gunners for quite a while now, yet to no avail thus far.
Ozil now has just over twelve months left to run on his current deal at The Emirates, and if they cannot sign him down to a new deal before the upcoming summer window shuts, you’d then imagine he’d be sold on – in order to get some value for him.
Honestly, I never thought Arsenal would let this contract issue happen again, particularly following what happened when Robin van Persie came to Manchester United in similar circumstances.
Personally, I’m not a fan of Ozil’s and I never have been. Whenever I’ve watched him play, he tends to go missing more often than not, and that is honestly something we could do without.
He obviousl has great vision and a brilliant technique when it comes to picking out that killer pass, but I’m just not sure where he’d fit into our starting eleven. With that said, we have to trust whatever decision Jose Mourinho makes, because our manager has gotten all his big choices correct so far.
