Jose Mourinho furious with 21-year-old Man United man following on-field incident in early March: report

Jose Mourinho has reportedly blasted Luke Shaw, following the incident that took place as Manchester United took on AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford earlier this month, as per The Sun. During that game, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tyrone Mings were involved in a serious off-ball incident.

It resulted in bans for the pair, with Mings and Ibrahimovic handed five and three-match suspensions respectively. However, the above report from The Sun claims that it was Luke Shaw who got it in the neck from Jose Mourinho – as he was spotted chatting to Bournemouth players amid the fiery clash.

To me, this just seems a bit petty if true. I get that you don’t really want your players talking to your opponents in the heat of battle, but this just seems daft.

With that said, it would explain why we haven’t seen the 21-year-old appear for Manchester United since that day, because he played a brilliant game and it was wonderful to see him back in action.

Since the start of this campaign, Jose Mourinho has tended to use Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian in the left-back slot over Luke Shaw, and this has left me baffled at times this season. In my opinion, Shaw is our most talented full-back by far, and I personally get the impression that there is more going on than meets the eye.

Who knows, maybe the young man isn’t impressing on the training ground, and playing football with 100% commitment must be tough following that horrific double leg-break he suffered eighteen months ago.
