Jose Mourinho gives Man United green light to sell superstar attacker: report

Jose Mourinho has given Manchester United the green light to part with Anthony Martial.

That’s according to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, translated by The Sun, who says that the Frenchman will be heading to Juventus after slipping down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Obviously, any deal would need to be approved by the United board before the club sanction a deal, but Mourinho has given them the go-ahead if the suitable offer would come in.

The 22-year-old has lost his place in the team to Alexis Sanchez, who himself has been hit and miss since his arrival from Arsenal. But, with Sanchez, you know you’re going to get a hard-working individual at the very least.

I love Martial, I think he’s hugely talented, but there has been many times this season where I’ve been left frustrated at him. That may be the nature of the position, but I feel like Mourinho has much more faith in Marcus Rashford and the aforementioned Sanchez.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Martial leave the club this summer, which would be a massive shame. At least he’d be going to an overseas club, though, meaning he cannot hurt us domestically.
