Jose Mourinho invites world class forward to be his first Man Utd signing

Manchester United Football Club could well be on the lookout for a new manager over the summer, with Louis van Gaal on course to be at the helm for United’s worst ever league points total. The name on everybody’s lips in terms of a replacement is Jose Mourinho, and he is already making plans.

According to Le10Sport in France, Mourinho is keen on bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford, in a bid to make him the ‘new Cantona’ leading the youngsters to Premier League glory.

Ibrahimovic, 34, is without doubt one of the best strikers in the world on his day but he isn’t getting any younger and it could be a huge risk. Despite Ibrahimovic being out of contract in the summer, and the fact he’d only have a short-term deal, it’d still be a gamble. A man of his stature would command huge wages, and if he picks up one semi-serious injury that could be curtains on his career, leaving United to pay his wages whilst he sits on the treatment table.
