Jose Mourinho has been installed as Manchester United manager, and although he will be bringing his regular coaching team with him. However, he clearly wants help from former players of the club – and the latest man linked with a move to join the setup is Rio Ferdinand.
The former defender won everything there is to be won at the Theatre of Dreams, and the fans absolutely adore him. Now the latest reports suggest that the Englishman is all set for a return to Manchester United in a coaching capacity.
Now 37, Ferdinand is working on getting his coaching badges as its clear he would like to earn a living on that side of the game. There would be no bigger opportunity for him to work at Manchester United under one of the best managers in the world.
One potential stumbling block would be the fact that Rio Ferdinand and his family have recently relocated back to his hometown of London. It would take some persuading for him to move back up North, but it would be an excelllent opportunity for him.
