Jose Mourinho looking to make 26-year-old his first summer signing

Jose Mourinho has already begun work at Manchester United, with the Portuguese manager looking to make an instant impact at Old Trafford. His transfer dealings and plans will already be well underway, and the latest reports suggest he is eyeing AS Roma’s Miralem Pjanic.

That’s according to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, who say that Jose Mourinho wants to make the Bosnian his first summer signing.

Mourinho will face stiff competition to land Pjanic though, and he’ll have to beat out Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool to land the 26-year old.

Pjanic has been at Roma since 2011 and has been an ever-present in their side since. He has made a real impression on the Serie A and formed an excellent partnership alongside the likes of Kevin Strootman and Radja Nainggolan.

He is a player who looks tailor-made to play in the Premier League, and has often been linked with a move to England but nothing has come of the interest just yet. This could well be the summer in which that changes, especially if Jose Mourinho comes calling.
