Jose Mourinho makes bold Danny Rose transfer decision: report

Manchester United have pulled the plug on any potential deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose, writes the Daily Star. They say that although the 27-year-old wants the Old Trafford switch, Jose Mourinho has decided not to pursue the move due to Spurs’ unwillingness to sell; a bold move.

As we all know, the Three Lions international was linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer, but, it doesn’t look as though any deal is going to happen before the transfer window slams shut.

To be honest, it was always going to be tough to tempt the North London club into parting with Rose, particularly after losing Kyle Walker to Manchester City just a few weeks ago.

The left-back situation is an interesting one at the moment. Obviously, Luke Shaw is an immensely talented individual, but his injury history is a major concern right now. Then you have both Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind who can both play out there, despite the fact that it isn’t their natural position.

In a perfect world, Shaw will put his treatment table woes behind him and really kick on this season. However, the perfect scenario rarely happens in football…
