Jose Mourinho makes French midfielder a prime target if he gets Man Utd job

Manchester United could well have a new manager at the helm come the summer, with all corners of the press claiming that Jose Mourinho is a shoe-in for the job. According to Le10Sport, he is already making transfer arrangements.

The French media outlet say that Jose Mourinho would love to make Marseille’s Lassana Diarra one of his first signings in the Old Trafford hot-seat. The pair have worked together previously for a short spell back in 2010 through to 2012, and they’ll know how each other works fluently.

Personally I’m not so sure about this one. If this move were to happen it should have done so at least a few years ago. Diarra is 31 now, and his career is coming to its latter stages. Surely we’d be much better off aiming for a younger man who can do a similar job.
