Manchester United Football Club simply has to get back to winning ways on Saturday, when Jose Mourinho takes his team to take on Huddersfield.
Playing a newly-promoted team for the first time is never easy, particularly when injuries seem to be decimating the Red Devils’ squad.
Ahead of the match, Mourinho has given the media an injury update. He confirmed that Marcus Rashford is available for selection, following an injury he picked up against SL Benfica.
Unfortunately, though, the good news stops there. United’s 19-year-old forward is the only player returning, meaning Eric Bailly, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Paul Pogba are all missing.
“Nobody else is coming back. We have the same players as we had for the Benfica match.” The manager told reporters, including United’s official website.
“Paul [Pogba] is not here, I don’t know when he comes back. I don’t know when he’s available. I have no idea about it.”
There was some good news, though. Mourinho expects Zlatan Ibrahimovic to return to action before 2017 is out. The veteran hasn’t taken to the field since April, but getting a player of his experience and sheer genius back out on the field could be massive.
Now, it’s up to the lads who are available to go out there and get those all-important three points.
