Jose Mourinho personally travels to Croatia on Man United transfer business – report

Manchester United’s January transfer window was a pretty quiet one in terms of incomings, with Jose Mourinho choosing to offload both Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin – without bringing any new faces into the Theatre of Dreams.

You’d imagine that the summer window will be a whole lot different, and it looks as though our manager is already trying to get the ball rolling. According to The Sun, Jose Mourinho himself has flew out to Zagreb in Croatia, to capture Ivan Perisic of Inter Milan; before our Premier League rivals swoop.

The report says that the self-proclaimed Special One hasn’t predominantly flew out to watch the Croat play, but more to speak with transfer mastermind Predrag Mijatovic – in the hopes that he can help secure a deal for Perisic.

Inter Milan’s 28-year-old is a versatile attacker who is great with both feet. Perisic is capable of playing as the main striker, but also out on the left-flank which would obviously interest Jose Mourinho.

If Manchester United could pull this deal off, it would be a wonderful acquisition. He’s a player that can score those outrageous goals and create something out of nothing. We’ve been far too reliant on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score the goals this season, and Perisic would almost certainly help out in that regard.
