Manchester United safely progressed into the next round of the FA Cup over the weekend, and now attentions turn right back to the bread and butter that is the Premier League.
On Wednesday, the Red Devils head South to take on Mauricio Pochettino’s immensely talented Tottenham Hotspur side. Before that clash, Jose Mourinho met the media to give us all a hugely positive injury update.
The self-proclaimed Special One confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns for United and the only players who remain sidelined are Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“We have no more injuries,” Mourinho happily revealed to ManUtd.com. “It was a tough match at Yeovil, a difficult match, difficult conditions, but everything is good.”
It’s so rare that United have almost a fully-fit squad, and that partly has to be down to the manager and his coaching staff. There have been so many occasions where Red Devils players have picked up needless injuries, and having players fit and available is such a hugely important part of the game.
With that said, Mourinho is going to need every single one of those guys to be at their best when they take on Spurs at Wembley Stadium. Hopefully, Alexis Sanchez starts and it’d be glorious if he could find the back of the net on his Manchester United Premier League debut.
