Manchester United Football Club have already added three footballers to the playing squad ahead of the new season, with Jose Mourinho keen to bring in a fourth. He, once again, backed up that point in an interview before Wayne Rooney’s testimonial match against Everton.
A reporter asked him whether or not Paul Pogba would be the fourth and final signing of the window, but as the consummate professional that he is, Jose refused to give a name.
“We’re going to find one more player that’s for sure. I’m not going to speak about Pogba. We’re going to sign one more.” Jose Mourinho responded, live on BT Sport.
At the end of the day, it’s clear for all to see that Mourinho wants to bring in Paul Pogba and there is absolutely no secret that he’d be a stunning addition.
However, Mourinho isn’t going to come out and say that. It’s not the way to do things in the modern era, and it could often be seen as tapping up and unsettling, which wouldn’t go down well at all. It is reassuring that Mourinho is insistent that United will be adding a fourth player though.
