Jose Mourinho responds to Man United boo-boys

The poor form continues. Heck, after the week we’ve had, I’m not sure why I expected anything less…

Manchester United dropped their first Champions League points of the season with a bore 0-0 draw at home to Valencia CF, with Jose Mourinho’s men looking rather uninspiring once again.

As the game was drawing to its climax, several Manchester United supporters began to boo. When the final whistle went and Mourinho began to heads towards the tunnel, the jeers got louder.

After the match, reporters asked Mourinho for his views upon the situation, and he gave a rather diplomatic answer.

“Freedom of speech,” Mourinho said, per the Manchester Evening News. “Especially Manchester United fans that I respect 200 per cent.”

At this point, Mourinho doesn’t have a leg to stand on. I feel as though the fans are the only people behind him right now, as it certainly looks as though he has lost complete control of the dressing room.

He’s hardly going to come out and start hitting back at us, is he? Then he truly wouldn’t have a leg to stand on.

United fans are an intelligent bunch. They tend to be more lenient than most, as they realise just how close Sir Alex Ferguson was to losing his job. Can you really see things improving under Mourinho, though? I’m just not sure where we go from here.

Honestly, I’d get rid during the international break and move for a manager who plays attractive football and will get time to implement his ideas. There aren’t many managers out and available though – particularly ones who fit that bill…
