Marcus Rashford believed to have won the battle to start as the striker against Arsenal

Manchester United’s sternest test of the season so far comes on Saturday lunchtime, when Jose Mourinho locks horns with Arsene Wenger for the first time as boss of the Red Devils. The game will be a tight-knit affair, and our cause hasn’t been helped by injuries.

Although Jose will give us an official update tomorrow, it looks as though Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia as well as others have all been ruled out – which gives the gaffer several selection dilemmas.

One problem he has is the striker spot, but the Daily Mirror say that the man he has chosen to lead the line is Marcus Rashford – the 19-year-old forward born in Wythenshawe.

That is despite Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial both seemingly being fit, and it is a huge show of faith in our man of the moment from a manager who ‘doesn’t like playing youth…’.

It will be an interesting fixture, and if Manchester United can grab a win it’d put us right back in contention which is exactly where we need to be.
