Jose Mourinho says that another Man Utd transfer is close to completion

It looks as though Manchester United’s transfer window in terms of incomings is all done and dusted. However Jose Mourinho is still doing his best to try and find the right moves for players who are due to leave the club before the close of play next week.

One man who’ll be leaving on a loan deal is talented attacking midfielder, Andreas Pereira.

“I love Andreas Pereira as a player and I would love to have him in my squad,” Mourinho said. “But he will go to Granada.”

This must be a great boost for Pereira himself, as Mourinho is clearly a huge admirer of the Brazilian’s. At this point in time, though, a loan is obviously the best option for everyone involved.

The 20-year-old isn’t realistically going to play any more than a handful of games at Old Trafford over the next season, purely down to the amount of depth the club has in those attacking positions.

It’s good that he’s going to play top flight football with Granada, but it’s a shame that no Premier League sides shown a genuine interest in bringing in the youngster, because it would have allowed him to get used to the physicality of the English game.
