Manchester United Football Club have had one of the worst weeks in recent memory, with Jose Mourinho’s side struggling to string a pass together, let alone a victory. One man at the forefront of that is Wayne Rooney, who just hasn’t been good enough whatsoever.
Now, Neil Ashton of The Sun says that Jose Mourinho is set to drop the Manchester United captain for the league game against Leicester City this weekend.
This is a decision you would wholly understand. Wayne Rooney has not been good at the start of this season, and you find it hard to see how he hasn’t lost his place in the line-up already.
At this point in time, he looks absolutely finished which is a real shame. He is more of a hinderance to the rest of the squad at the moment, and you look at his positioning on occasion and just think ‘what on earth are you doing there?’.
It has been gutting to watch this rapid fall from grace. Let’s be honest, this is an absolute Manchester United icon, but it’s now up to Jose to make that tough decision and drop him.
