Jose Mourinho speaks out on Paul Pogba situation, confirms whether he’ll play tomorrow

Manchester United Football Club finds themselves in a real rut at this point in time. Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba are embroiled in a huge manager vs player battle.

The self-proclaimed Special One loves a fall-out with a superstar name. Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, now Pogba. Once you begin to lose the dressing room, it’s a long way back.

However, before the Red Devils’ clash against West Ham United tomorrow, Mourinho has been speaking to the media, and confirmed that there is no issue with the ex-Juventus midfielder. In fact, the 55-year-old added that Pogba will play tomorrow in the 12:30 kick-off.

“Our player-manager relationship is good. Nobody trained better than Paul on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – they trained as well [as him] – but not better. He plays tomorrow.” Mourinho confirmed, per United’s official Twitter account.

Look, it’s all well and good to hear Mourinho say there is no issue, but let’s be honest, we all know something is going on.

The training ground incident looked bad, there is no getting away from the fact that all is not well. I’m surprised that Pogba is playing tomorrow. Perhaps Mourinho is going soft at this stage in his career. I half-expected to see the midfielder dropped from the squad altogether as a way of showing the rest of the players that Mourinho really is boss.

With that said, United desperately need all three points tomorrow. If we lose, well, Mourinho could find himself in a real mess. At which point, the walls would be closing in real quick…
