Jose Mourinho ups offer in bid to secure move for world class attacker

Manchester United are clearly intent on bringing in Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer, despite Borussia Dortmund’s unwillingness to sell. The Armenian has just one year left on his current deal in Germany, meaning a move could well happen this transfer window.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United and Jose Mourinho have decided to up their offer once again – with now a £35million bid on the table for the 27-year-old.

This is around double what United initially offered a few weeks ago for Mkhitaryan, but it shows just how highly Jose Mourinho values the right-winger.

Last season he was outstanding for Dortmund. He scored twenty times, and also added twenty assists throughout the campaign, too.

Hopefully Manchester United can push this deal through before the pre-season tour gets underway towards the back end of July. This will give Mkhitaryan plenty of time to settle in, as the Premier League season doesn’t get going until mid-August.
