Jose Mourinho clearly has big ideas and intentions as Manchester United manager, and his latest plan is to break the world transfer record – again. That’s according to the Daily Mirror, who say that the self-proclaimed Special One has told bosses to spend huge money on Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
Furthermore than that, the Portuguese has apparently told the club to ignore any potential move for Cristiano Ronaldo, and go all out so sign Englishman Kane.
There isn’t really much to say about Kane that hasn’t already been said. This is a man who knows exactly where the back of the net is, and in the 2016/17 season, he won the Premier League Golden Boot award as he scored an incredible 29 goals.
Manchester United are in desperate need of a new striker following the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be let go. The 35-year-old Swede scored 28 goals across all competitions last season, and dare I say it, but I’m of the opinion that Kane would be an upgrade on that.
My only concern is that he loves Spurs, and Daniel Levy is renowned for his tough negotiating. It’s a move that’d cost an awful lot of money and I would love to see it happen but at this point in time, I highly doubt he’ll be wearing our famous red jersey next season.
