Manchester United Football Club are trying to bring Neymar to Old Trafford; as Jose Mourinho wants to sign a marquee attacker.
That’s according to the Spanish media outlet Don Balon, translated by the Manchester Evening News. The self-proclaimed Special One believes that the Paris Saint-Germain superstar would be the perfect addition.
Apparently, the Portuguese believes it is vital to sign a top-class player if United are to challenge for a Champions League title – there is no doubt the 26-year-old Neymar oozes class when on the ball.
Neymar is fantastic. He’s great off either foot, will score goals and he always steps up when his team need him the most.
With that said, I’d have my doubts about him coming to England. I’m just not sure his style would fit in with the physicality in the Premier League. He’d get lumps kicked out of him on a weekly basis. That has had an effect on many a South American at Old Trafford – just ask Angel di Maria and Juan Sebastian Veron…
He’d cost a pretty penny, too… I’d much prefer to see the money spent on a top-level right-winger and a world-class centre-back, but I guess when the opportunity to sign a player like Neymar arrives, it must be hard to turn that down…
