Jose Mourinho’s first game at the Theatre of Dreams has been announced. Manchester United will host Everton on Wednesday 3rd August, for Wayne Rooney’s testimonial match. The 30-year-old has reached the ten-year milestone at Old Trafford, and he will enjoy a much-deserved celebration.
The current Manchester United captain has won everything there is to be won at the club, having completed his collection with an FA Cup trophy last season.
All eyes will be facing forward now though, and under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, Rooney will be hoping to add further silverware to his personal trophy cabinet.
All proceeds from the match will go to the newly-formed Wayne Rooney Foundation, as the skipper hopes to raise a monumental £5million for charity from the day.
This will be an eagerly anticipated match for the fans of Manchester United, as it will likely be the first time several new faces, including Mourinho and Bailly will be on display.
