Josh King wants Man United move to happen, ready to head North if agreement can be reached: report

Manchester United left it late, but did seal a move for Bruno Fernandes earlier today. That left the fans feeling extremely happy last night – though there may well be more to come…

Earlier today, we covered a story from Sky Sports in which it was claimed that United were ‘considering’ making a second bid for AFC Bournemouth striker, Joshua King.

Since then, the extremely reliable David Ornstein has taken to Twitter to have his say on the situation. Ornstein states that the 28-year-old wants the move to Man United to happen – while he’s ready to head North to Manchester if an agreement between the two clubs can be reached.

What’s also interesting is that Bournemouth are actively looking at replacements for the Norweigan, which lets us know that the Cherries believe there is a chance a deal could go through…

At this stage, we’re getting desperate – though there’s good reason for that. Marcus Rashford’s injury has meant United need to add a new striker of some sort this month, even if it’s only on a short-term deal.

King actually has a better scoring record in the Premier League than both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial over the last three years which is somewhat surprising, so I’m not wholly against the idea.

It’s going to take a huge push to get the deal done before the transfer deadline, while agreeing on a fair price could pose a real problem. The good news for United is that King may be willing to help out on his part…
