Ex-Real Madrid midfielder, Casemiro, may well leave Man United this coming summer.
Manchester United are now preparing for their first transfer window under INEOS’ ownership. Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be hoping for a successful summer, as he looks to help the Red Devils return to the top of the pile.
It may take time, though smart business decisions have to be made at the highest level. I don’t doubt Ratcliffe will do just that.
One area where United have struggled mightily over the years is in the selling market. For far too long, this club has overpaid average or older players, thus, making it difficult to move on from these guys.
While speaking on the mufcMPB YouTube channel, journalist Dom Booth has given an update on one potential outgoing in the form of Casemiro.
He states that there’s a ‘strong chance’ the 31-year-old United regular will leave the club this summer, with the Red Devils potentially delving into the transfer market for a replacement. It could explain Reds’ reported interest in Brazilian midfielder, Ederson.

Casemiro was outstanding for United last season. I’d argue he was among our top three performers. Not only was his a defensive machine, protecting that back four supremely well, he was also good in the opposition box too, scoring some massive goals.
This year, he seems to have lost that yard of pace. Casemiro suddenly looks a little slower, while being a little easier for his opponents to get past. He’s also a walking yellow card.
The problem? He signed on a long-term deal, for massive money. I do not see any top European sides willing to match that wage. Unless he’s unhappy here in Manchester and prepared to take a pay-cut, the only option I can see is a big-money move to Saudi…
