Manchester United have been quite heavily linked with a move to sign AS Monaco’s star midfielder Fabinho this summer. The 23-year-old Brazilian was part of the side that won Ligue 1 from out of nowhere really, as well as enjoying an excellent run in the Champions League – making the semi-finals.
Now, however, Mike Keegan of the Daily Mail has put a dampener on things, by claiming that Manchester United aren’t interested in signing Fabinho this summer…
Told there's nothing to the Fabinho to United links. #mufc

In these situations where journalists seem to have different views and opinions, it’s tough to work out exactly where the truth is. What I will say is that Keegan has been hit and miss when it comes to transfer rumours, whereas there has been a lot of chatter suggesting that Fabinho is closing in on a move to Old Trafford.
Personally, I’d love for the Red Devils to sign him. He’s the type of player that we’ve been calling out for recently, and he epitomises the modern-day box-to-box midfielder due to his tireless style of play.
At the end of the day, I guess nobody really knows what is going on behind the scenes at the moment. United’s move for Victor Lindelof was announced out of nowhere, and the cynicism in me nowadays says that no deal is done until the player is holding our jersey aloft at Old Trafford.
