Journo claims there’s ‘very chance’ Zinedine Zidane joins Man United: report

Zinedine Zidane may well be next in line for the Man United job…

Manchester United have been a side in disarray this term, there’s simply no getting away from that.

It all stems and starts with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Our Baby Faced Assassin just doesn’t seem to be getting the right tune out of this supremely talented squad of individuals. If that continues for much longer, something has gotta’ give…

Brendan Rodgers seems to be the name that pops up the most on the back pages, though over the last couple of days, Zinedine Zidane finds himself in the headlines. After all, this is a move that makes sense. He’s also unemployed at the moment so if the Frenchman wanted, he could come straight in.

Anyway, journalist Rob Blanchette has given us an update on Zizou. He claims that there’s ‘every chance’, the 11-time trophy-winning manager will take over at United.

To add to that, Zidane would have Cristiano Ronaldo’s blessing, with the Glazer family having already consulted CR7 about the Frenchman.

Check out Rob Blanchette’s tweet on the situation here:

Well, at least they’re doing their homework about this hire. The Glazers have gotten their last few appointments wrong. It’s critical that this time, the club hit the nail on the head.

There can be no more hitting the reset button. No more major squad overhauls. The time is now. This team is ready to win and Ronaldo isn’t going to be around forever.

Zidane may not be this master tactician but he knows what he’s doing in the dugout. He’s worked with big egos, he’s been employed by a European giant. It does feel like he’s the best fit at this juncture.

The question now becomes, will another club beat United to the punch if they continue to dilly-dally with Solskjaer?

Would Zinedine Zidane be a good hire? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
