Manchester United’s Juan Mata has found himself out of the team in recent months, but he more than earned a recall after playing out of his skin at the weekend. The 26-year old will be hoping for more consistent starts as we enter the business end of the season.
In an interview, Mata was quizzed about his 5-a-side team at United, and he responded with a side full of stellar names.
Juan Mata: “My 5-a-side team, including me? Rooney, Di Maria, Falcao & RvP. Ander Herrera will be angry, but he has to fight for his place!” The Spaniard joked.
After a stunning performance at home to Spurs last time out, Mata will be hoping that he can keep his place in the side despite Angel di Maria becoming available once again after he has served his suspension.
Personally I’d keep Mata in the team. Angel looks bereft of confidence and he’d be a good player from off the bench, whereas Mata deserves a start and he’d have more of an impact that way.
