According to the usually reliable Italian football expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus and Manchester United have an agreement in place that’ll see Patrice Evra switch Old Trafford for Turin. Although Evra has recently signed a one-year deal at United, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of him leaving the club this summer.
The decision is now in Louis van Gaal’s hands, and it depends on whether the Dutchman wants to keep Evra at the club. His experience could be crucial this year, and his importance in the dressing room is second to none; particularly when United have let two important figures in Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic leave the club.
Evra is now 33, so there obviously isn’t much playing time left in him, but he could help the incoming Luke Shaw develop in ways that nobody else at the club could. However, if including Evra in any potential deal to bring Arturo Vidal to United is a necessity, then I think we should do it.
If we were to sell Evra, Daley Blind could be a good option as we’d have two talented players competing, and pushing each other to perform.

Evra has been poor for the past few seasons. Last year he improved his at attacking play but still not good at the back. The fact Buttner was as good as him during the cameos he got shows we must get rid and her in someone like blind.
No way! You can’t get rid of the three most important leaders in one summer, or at least you can’t get away with it. It would be to big of a change for the team in one summer, similar to the change of manager last summer and we all know how that ended. Keep Evra for the next season, so a new leader can develop and then take Evra’s mental place in the team. Going from one generation to the next isn’t something you do in one or maybe even two seasons.
