Juventus’ wheeling and dealing in the transfer market is well documented. I don’t think any club comes close to their ability at persuading free agents to join them. This summer, Aaron Ramsey and Adrian Rabiot made the move to Turin for no fee.
At Manchester United, there are several superstars whose contracts are winding down – and quickly. Next summer we could see a free agent mass exodus, so it’s no surprise to see Juve sniffing around.
The story comes from Gazzetta dello Sport’s Wednesday print edition, translated via Sport Witness. They say that Juve are monitoring David de Gea, Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic, who’d all be allowed to leave for nothing in 2020’s summer.

It’s actually Matic who gets the biggest mention by GdS, who they claim will be hard to get, even harder than Christian Eriksen which seems rather odd…
De Gea and Bailly are ‘almost unreachable’ but that won’t stop Juve from trying. Their genius when it comes to signing players knows no bounds.
For United, they need to sort out De Gea’s contract as quickly as possible. It’s clearly affecting him on the field as his mindset isn’t right. If the Spaniard doesn’t put pen to paper soon then I’d drop him and give Sergio Romero a run in the team because he’s a top player.
As for the other two, Bailly and Matic can both leave for me. The Ivorian is injury prone while the Serb looks a shadow of his former self right now. That said, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad is already looking pretty thin so they’d immediately need replacing should they depart…
