Juventus targeted Man Utd striker as their next signing

Manchester United did exactly what they set out to achieve this season, securing a spot in the top four and barring a disaster in the playoff, Old Trafford will have those famous Champions League occasions back on. Before that though, Louis van Gaal has some squad tinkering to do.

One player who could be on his way out is Robin van Persie, and according to the Daily Mail, he is being targeted by Juventus as their big name signing for the summer.

This is a sale I wouldn’t be wholly against. Robin has done exactly what he set out to achieve at United, and since his debut season he hasn’t looked half the player we spent £24million on. With just a year left on his current deal now would be the perfect time to sell him because he isn’t getting any younger.

Robin van Persie himself may be keen on the move, after seeing what Patrice Evra has accomplished in his short time in Turin.

The Mail go on to say that United would consider selling the Dutchman if Gonzalo Higuain can be persuaded to leave Napoli.
