Keane brothers leave on loan

Brothers Will Keane and Michael Keane have left the club on loan to Championship clubs, Wigan and Derby respectively

Will Keane has completed his recovery from a serious knee injury and will link up with Nick Powell at Wigan, where he hopes to gain valuable game time and competitive experience. It has been reported that over half of the clubs in the Championship wanted Will. The deal expires on 1st January.

Michael Keane however has opted to join up with former England manager, and United assistant, Steve McLaren at Derby County. Michael had a highly successful loan spell last season at Leicester but hasn’t quite managed to break into David Moyes plans this season. He joins the Rams until 2nd January 2014.

Coincidentally, the brothers could face each other this weekend as Wigan take on Derby.

Tom Lawrence has also secured a loan deal at Carlisle where he will link up with goalkeeper Ben Amos.
